LESLEY BOWER

Lesley trained at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Sick Children and is a qualified Paediatric and Adult Nurse having trained at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Sick Children and at The Charing Cross Hospital, London.

Since then Lesley has gained diverse experience as a School Nurse working for 3 London Boroughs, both within mainstream schools and also specialist schools (for children whose primary need is a physical disability and/or medical need).

Her roles included training school staff on how to manage certain childhood illnesses and conditions within the school environment; child protection and safeguarding, immunisations, sexual health and relationship education to young people and advising school staff, parents and carers and other professionals on health-related issues. She has also worked as a Youth Worker in the voluntary sector.

Lesley has 3 birth daughters and adopted her 2 sons when they were teenagers, she also has 20 years’ experience of fostering children and young people.
